Configuring your machine for a wireless network

After a few seconds, you can select the SSID from the list using ▲ or ▼. Press Set to select the SSID.

If your SSID is displayed and you have selected it, go to Step 8.

If you want to add a new SSID, go to Step 4.

Select <New SSID> using ▲ or ▼.

Press Set.

Enter the SSID. (For further information on entering text, see Entering Text (for MFC-640CW and

MFC-820CW) on page B-10.)

Press Set.

Using ▲ or ▼, select Infrastructure when instructed.

Press Set.

If you select Ad-hoc, go to Step 8.

Select the Authentication method using ▲ or ▼, and press Set.

If you select Open System, go to Step 8.

If you select Shared Key, go to Step 9.

If you select WPA-PSK, go to Step 10.

Select the Encryption type, None or WEP using ▲ or ▼, and press Set.

If you select None, go to Step 14.

If you select WEP, go to Step 9.
